Artisan rustic gate with 6 or 7 crossbars, handmade by the "arader" (toolmaker) Ovidi Pons in wild olive wood, reproducing those found demarcating the trails of Menorca ans closing the passage ot the doors that open between the plots of the properties to avoid stray the cattle.


Because of its abundance in all the groves of the island as well as its exceptional hardness, the wild olive tree was the wood that is produced traditionally various tools of the field, and particularly the barriers that characterize the rural Menorca.


Due to the survival of the metier of toolmaker, the job of crafting of barriers has not lost and, conversely, have been incorporated into new constructions of Menorca.


This reproduction comes with a protective wrapping.
