The "Carn i Xua", also known as "carn i xulla" is a typical Menorca sausage, elaborated with lean meat and bacon, ingredients of which is named : "carn" (meat) and "xulla" (bacon in Catalan), exclusively from pigs reared in our island (porc faixat). The mixture, after chopped and milled, is kneaded and season with salt and various spices, and then stuffed into pork guts. The origin of this raw and cured sausage is connected with the gastronomic traditions of Menorca, and some people says that its origin goes back to the cooked pork meats of the Roman classic culture.

Because of its texture, is suitable for both appetizers and sandwichs. At Embotits Raima it is elaborated in artisan process, following the traditional guidelines for the healing of inlaid with adequate time to obtain the required consistency and flavor, and exceeding the most stringent quality controls.
