The "Crespellinas" of Menorca are crunchy biscuits, round shaped and jagged edges. Its texture is hard and consistent even when dipping, for example with milk for breakfast, though somewhat breakable. They are made with flour, milk, sugar, lard, cinnamon and a few drops of lemon juice. The dough should stretch to get a very thin layer, about 3 millimeters thick, then cut the biscuits with a serrated circular mold which gives its characteristic shape.

Sometimes they are also called "crespellets".

 

Due to its composition, these cookies are retained for a long period.
